Ingredients
  

  • 1 recipe for Arepas Colombianas, see link in text above
  • 1 recipe for hogao (tomato onion sauce), see link in text above
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • some grated cheese (mozarella)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare arepas according to instructions (see link for recipe in text)
  • Cut the arepas open with a sharp knife, creating a pocket
  • Spread some hogao on the inside of the arepa. Add slices of avocado and top with grated cheese
  • Serve while fresh and warm

Notes

Arepas are best eaten the same day. Once stuffed they should be eaten as soon as possible.
